Regulations and requirements

Vaccinations are required

In accordance with CDC county recommendations, all event attendees must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. People aged 18 and older are also required to show personal identification alongside proof of vaccination.

The definition of fully vaccinated differs by vaccine and manufacturer – Open will follow CDC definitions. The CDC does not currently require booster shots to be considered fully vaccinated.

Masks are encouraged

Greenhouse will have high-quality disposable masks available for attendees. We are not enforcing a mask requirement.

Health and safety precautions

State-of-the-art ventilation, filtration and sanitization systems

The Javits Center has installed the latest high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters to reduce air pollutants throughout the convention center, as well as hand-sanitizing stations throughout the venue. The Center is also accredited by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), which has the industry’s highest standard for cleaning and disinfection.

You decide your social distancing comfort level

While social distancing is no longer required, we will continue to plan seating indoors and outdoors with more space in mind. Attendees will also have the option of wearing a pin to display their preference for more socially distanced interaction.

Extra room planned for all event spaces

To ensure extra space for seating and networking, we’re planning to cap attendance at less than 50% of venue occupancy. There will also be opportunities for in-person attendees to join session audio remotely for those who don’t want to sit in a room with others. And, weather permitting, there will be access to outside park and terrace areas on day one and at the Open party.

Food safety precautions for safe, enjoyable meals

We're taking extra steps to make sure food and beverages served during Open remain safe and sanitary. This includes pre-portioned food servings, pre-packaged grab-and-go options and touch-free bottle fillers.
