Greenhouse achieves ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification

Responsible AI you can trust. Greenhouse is now ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certified, the global standard for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS).
This certification independently validates how we build, govern, and operate AI across our products, including Real Talent and all AI-powered capabilities within Greenhouse.
As AI adoption accelerates in hiring, so do expectations around oversight, accountability, and risk management. ISO 42001 confirms that Greenhouse meets a globally recognized standard for responsible AI governance.
Why this matters
Trusted AI in hiring
Our AI systems are governed with accountability, fairness, privacy, and security at the core. This ensures our AI capabilities are developed and operated responsibly, supporting better hiring outcomes without compromising trust.
Regulatory alignment
AI regulations are evolving rapidly, particularly in the EU and UK. ISO 42001 certification supports customers navigating emerging requirements, including the EU AI Act, by validating our governance framework against an international standard.
Reduced risk
ISO 42001 provides independent, third-party assurance of our AI management practices. Customers can adopt AI-powered features with greater confidence, knowing they are backed by formal oversight and controls.
What’s in scope
All Greenhouse AI features are included within this certification, including:
- Real Talent
- AI-powered Talent Matching
- Fraud detection and risk indicators
- AI Notetaking
- Other AI-driven functionality across the Greenhouse platform
This builds on our existing certifications:
- ISO 27001 (Information Security)
- ISO 27701 (Privacy)
- SOC 1 and SOC 2
Together, these certifications reflect our broader commitment to security, privacy, and responsible innovation.
Raising expectations for AI in hiring
ISO 42001 is more than a milestone. It raises expectations for how AI in hiring should be governed.
By aligning to the global standard for AI management systems, Greenhouse demonstrates that responsible AI requires formal oversight, documented risk management processes, and continuous review.
We are proud to set that standard and to provide customers with AI they can trust today and as regulatory expectations continue to evolve.
