Greenhouse Notetaker

In closed beta

Stay present in every interview. Let AI handle the notes.

Interviewers often split attention between listening to candidates and capturing notes. That trade-off can weaken the conversation, thin out the scorecard, and make debriefs harder than they need to be.

Greenhouse Notetaker is a native AI note-taking capability built into Greenhouse Recruiting. With candidate consent, it records and transcribes supported video interviews, then drafts structured notes and a summary that map to scorecard questions. Interviewers stay focused on the candidate. The scorecard remains the source of truth, and hiring decisions stay with your team.

With Greenhouse Notetaker, teams can:

  • Stay focused on the candidate. The notetaker joins Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams interviews automatically, so interviewers can listen instead of type.
  • Capture stronger, more consistent signal. AI-generated question notes and an overall summary are drafted from the transcript, with clickable timestamps that link back to the moment in the recording.
  • Speed up scorecard completion. Interviewers can add generated notes to the scorecard with one click, then layer in their own assessment in Key Takeaways.
  • Keep candidates informed and in control. Candidates provide consent through self-schedule or availability requests, and can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Stay governed by design. Permissions control who can view recordings, transcripts, and notes. Site Admins configure retention up to 60 days, and GDPR retention rules can anonymize Notetaker data alongside other candidate information.

Greenhouse Notetaker is part of our broader approach to responsible AI in hiring: reducing manual work, capturing better hiring signal, and keeping humans in control of every decision.

Greenhouse Notetaker is now available on Greenhouse's new tiers (Core, Plus, and Pro).
